Cincinnati Streetcar Gets $17.4M in Additional Funding
The Cincinnati Streetcar project is back on track. Last Wednesday, City Council voted to give it a $17.4 million infusion of cash, bringing the total cost of the project to $133 million, from the original $110 million.

Joint Venture to Open Ohio Racino in December
The state of Ohio will get a new racino by the end of the year. Miami Valley Gaming & Racing, a joint venture of Delaware North Companies Gaming & Entertainment, headquartered in Buffalo, N.Y., and Louisville, Ky.-based Churchill Downs Incorporated, will open a new harness racing and gaming facility near exit 29 off of Interstate 75, between Cincinnati and Dayton, in December.

Balluff Breaks Ground on $6M Expansion Project in Independence, Adding 24 Jobs
Balluff Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Balluff GmbH, based in Neuhausen, Germany, started construction last week on a $6 million expansion of its U.S. headquarters in Northern Kentucky. Governor Steve Beshear joined local and company officials in the city of Independence on Thursday, April 11, for the project’s ground breaking ceremony.
