Centum Health Properties is set to break ground next week on the expansion of Scottsdale Medical Pavilion, a 53,529-square-foot medical office building in Scottsdale, Ariz. Signature Partners, Independent Financial, Meyer, Borgman, Johnson Engineering, EPS Group, Design Ethic and Sazan Group are all involved in the project.

Built and designed in 1976 by Michael Goodwin, the property spans 2.4 acres and comprises a low-story building with 25,000-square-foot floorplates. The extension plan includes the addition of more than 38,000 square feet of Class A office space and the transformation of the building from a triangle shape to a rectangle one. Jammon Studios is leading the design and architectural efforts.

According to CommercialEdge data, the current tenant base of the property includes several medical companies, such as Lee Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Clinic, Scottsdale Obstetrics & Gynecology, HonorHealth and Scottsdale Vascular Services, among others.

Located at 7331 E. Osborn Drive, the property is less than a mile away from the city center and next to North Drinkwater Boulevard. Several medical clinics, including HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center and Dentistry of Old Town Scottsdale, are within walking distance of the property.

Currently, Centum Health owns four MOB properties, totaling some 363,940 square feet in Arizona and Colorado. In February, the company sold four properties, comprising 180,000 square feet in Greater Phoenix and Denver to Wentworth Healthcare Properties for $56 million.
