CBRE strengthened its South Florida Agency and Tenant Representation team through the addition of Alina Plasencia as senior associate. Plasencia joins the team of Carol Ellis-Cutler where she will handle office leasing for clients in Miami’s northern submarket. Additionally, she will focus on expanding the team’s landlord and tenant representation as well as growing its South Florida capabilities.

Amid an upswing of development and investor demand for office space in northern Miami-Dade County, the team currently handles a portfolio totaling nearly one million square feet of office space at properties including Lincoln Washington Square, Emerald Aventura, London Square, Town Center Offices and 5901 Commons. Additionally, they provide tenant advisory services to clients such as Boston Consulting Group, Gastro Health and Bristol Hospice.

Experienced marketing professional

Alina Plasencia joined CBRE in 2016 as a business development and marketing strategy manager responsible for business development efforts across Florida. Under her supervision, the team completed more than 200 commercial projects totaling $50 million in sales. Prior to joining CBRE, Plasencia oversaw the management of public-private land development as director of development and marketing at the Institute for Child & Family Health Inc. She previously served as principal at Intecsol Corp., where her responsibilities included the origination, management and growth of strategic business accounts. Additionally, Plasencia worked as senior vice president of sales and marketing at Innerhost Inc., where she provided leadership and coordination of company sales and marketing functions for real estate data center services and strategies.

“Alina is a wonderful addition to our team, bringing strong business development and marketing talent to our North Dade/South Broward submarket focus, which is primed for explosive growth over the next few years,” said Ellis-Cutler, in prepared remarks.

Plasencia earned a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and holds a master’s in International Real Estate from Florida International University.
