CBRE has represented iHerb in closing its first industrial lease in Illinois. The retailer, which has several distribution centers in California, Kentucky and Pennsylvania, will occupy a 257,344-square-foot facility in Elgin, Ill. JLL negotiated the deal on behalf of the landlord, Zilber Property Group.

Zilber Industrial I, iHerb’s new fulfillment center, features 32-foot clear heights, 24 expandable docks, four drive-in doors, 68 trailer stalls and a parking lot accommodating up to 260 vehicles. The property is located at 2640 Auto Mall Drive and provides immediate access to Interstate 90, while O’Hare International Airport is approximately half an hour away.

This location will allow iHerb to reach a broad portion of the U.S. with fast delivery times and excellent customer service, further demonstrating the continued importance of the Chicago area as one of the country’s top logistics hubs,” said CBRE Vice President Jack Brennan, in prepared remarks.

Brennan worked together with Vice President John Hamilton to represent iHerb in the lease agreement. The JLL brokers involved in the deal were Executive Vice President Dominic Carbonari and Executive Vice President Frank Griffin.
