Choice Hotels and HOS Management began work on the 103-key, six-story property. This is the brand’s first location in Georgia.

The groundbreaking ceremony of Cambria Hotel Savannah Historic District

Choice Hotels International Inc., in collaboration with HOS Management, has broken ground on Cambria Hotel Savannah Historic District in Savannah, Ga. The 103-key, six-story building is set to open next year.

Located at 321 Montgomery St. in the heart of the city, the property is set to feature a rooftop bar, multi-functional meeting space, business center, restaurant and fitness center. The property will be minutes from shopping, dining, museums and entertainment attractions, including Savannah Civic Center and SCAD Museum of Art. Savannah is home to the largest National Historic Landmark District in the country and includes the Savannah Historic District, the Savannah Victorian Historic District and many parks.  

“The Cambria Hotel Savannah Historic District will be the first Cambria hotel in my home state of Georgia. Full of rich history and culture, Savannah attracts millions of business and leisure travelers each year and the Cambria hotel groundbreaking helps us plant our legacy in the epicenter of it all,” said Janis Cannon, senior vice president of upscale brands at Choice Hotels, in a prepared statement.

Last month, Choice Hotels opened the Cambria Hotel Nashville, a 235-key property in the SoBro district of Nashville, Tenn.
