A health diagnostics laboratory is soon to arrive at the Tucson scene.

LCMS Laboratories Inc. announced a new commercial lease agreement for an undisclosed amount of space at 10831 N. Mavinee Drive, Suite 105 in Oro Valley. Bob Davis of Rein & Grossoehme Commercial Real Estate represented LCMS Laboratories in the transaction, and Anthem Equity Group’s Diana Dessy spoke for the landlord, Matrixx Equities L.L.L.P.

LCMS Laboratories is a sister company of the privately held LCMS Solutions Inc., which utilizes Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry equipment for Urine Drug Testing. Headquartered in San Diego’s La Jolla neighborhood, the company is focused primarily on the western and southwestern regions of the US. It provides support for healthcare professionals involved in therapeutic, rehabilitative, and recovery services under the guidelines of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments.

Located off Hanley Drive in the Foothills Business Park, near Innovation Park, the property is part of the 45,500 square-foot Matrixx Business Center. Constructed in 2000, the commercial complex offers space for office, production and warehouse uses in two buildings. The new laboratory scheduled to open in March 2015 will utilize the latest mass spectrometry technologies and provide clinical diagnostics, contract research organization (CRO) support and diagnostic test development.  It is expected to bring several high-paying laboratory and administrative jobs to the region.

LCMS Laboratories worked closely with Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities, Bioscience Industry Organization of Southern Arizona and other bioscience/diagnostic partners to establish its presence and support the community.
