Big Sky Medical Grows DFW Footprint
The firm acquired a medical office campus in Rockwall, Texas.

Big Sky Medical has acquired Lake Pointe Medical Plaza, a two-building, 46,359-square-foot medical outpatient campus in Rockwall, Texas. Gault Co. previously owned the asset, according to CommercialEdge information.
Lake Pointe Medical Plaza was 74 percent leased at the time of sale. The new owner plans to implement a capital improvement plan to further enhance the property’s appeal.
The asset at 6701 Heritage Parkway previously traded in December 2016, the same source shows. Completed in 1988, the medical office campus has two-story buildings and 96 parking spaces. Tenants include Baylor Scott & White affiliates, Pediatrix and Southwest Neurology DBA.
The 1-acre property is part of the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lake Pointe campus. Downtown Dallas is less than 23 miles away, while DFW International Airport is 41 miles southwest.
Big Sky Medical currently has 3.2 million square feet of health-care properties under management. Its Dallas portfolio also includes The Pyramids, a former office campus repurposed for medical use. The property comprises two buildings totaling 291,328 square feet.
Medical outpatient facilities continue to attract investors due to the sector’s resilience. In 2024, this asset class’s investment volume increased compared to the previous year, according to a JLL report. In one of the largest transactions, Healthpeak acquired Physicians Realty Trust in an all-stock deal for $4.6 billion.
