Belkin Burden Wenig & Goldman Appoints New Associate

Krista Patterson has joined the firm’s Transactional Department, where she will focus on negotiating and drafting leasing, financing and joint venture agreements for commercial transactions.

Manhattan-based full-service real estate law firm Belkin Burden Wenig & Goldman LLP welcomed Krista Patterson as its newest associate. She will report to the Transactional Department Head & Partner Daniel Altman. Her responsibilities will include focusing on commercial transactions, negotiating and drafting leasing, conveyancing, financing and joint venture agreements.

Prior to joining the firm,  Patterson served as vice president & associate general counsel at Annaly Commercial Real Estate Group. Her position included executing real estate equity and debt investments, equity portfolio acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, mortgage and mezzanine debt investments, syndications and portfolio leverage. Between 2006 and 2014, she was an associate in the real estate department of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she represented real estate funds, REITs and financial institutions in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate assets; landlord- and tenant-side office, retail and restaurant leasing; joint ventures and financing transactions, including originating, refinancing, buying and selling mortgage and mezzanine loans and other debt investments.

Patterson graduated from Duke University and holds a B.A. in English and a J.D., LLM in Comparative and International law. She is a member of the New York bar since 2007.
