Citibank celebrated the opening of Bayfront Citigold Center, a 5,590-square-foot branch located at 201 S. Biscayne Blvd. The first of its kind in Miami, the branch features Citi’s smart banking technology, in addition to the full range of Citi products and services.

Bayfront Citigold Center offers customers an interactive digital experience, featuring new online workbench terminals that enhance side-by-side interactions with personal bankers, while providing in-branch access to Citi’s digital banking platform. Additionally, video conferencing is available to give clients worldwide access to Citi’s services.

Located within Miami Center, a Class A office tower constructed in 1983, the Bayfront Center is part of Citi’s innovation plan to adapt and meet evolving customer needs by eliminating one-size-fits-all traditional branches to explore multiple sizes and formats. The innovative center relocates an existing Citi branch from across the street and is one of more than 50 Citibank branches throughout the Miami area.

“While we are investing and significantly enhancing our mobile banking offerings, we’re also reimaging the branch experience, bringing the benefits of technology and digitization inside our walls to create a new and inviting experience,” said Citi’s Ed Patterson, Miami senior area director, in prepared remarks. “Our new Bayfront Citigold Center is a great example of this smart banking model, which combines the important human element with advanced digital capabilities,” he added.

Citi debuted its first compact digital smart banking branch in 2016 in Sunny Isles. Later this month the firm is opening a new smaller digital branch in Midtown Miami, followed by a full-size smart banking branch in Doral Commons in the coming months.

“We are seeing tremendous growth in online and mobile interactions, as well as new and heightened expectations of what the branch experience should be. Customers expect faster, smarter service that leverages digital technology and incorporates all that Citi has to offer. The new Bayfront Citigold Center is one of the ways we will do that,” said Citi U.S. Retail Banking President Will Howle.
