Colliers International has tapped Richard Barnett to serve as a senior vice president in its development and consulting services group, leading the healthcare and life sciences practice.

With more than three decades of experience, Barnett brings expertise in construction management including the design and build process, architectural millwork design and fabrication. Prior to joining Colliers, he was the director of healthcare & life sciences projects at Richard White Sons Inc., where he led quality assurance and quality control oversight. He previously served as founder & president of a construction firm specializing in projects for hospitals, laboratories, ambulatory surgery centers and retail stores.

He serves as founder & chairman of the Healthcare Associated Infections Organization, a group which seeks to use architecture, design and construction to minimize and eradicate the spread of healthcare-associated infections.

According to Colliers executive vice president & head of the development and consulting services group Daniel Quinn, real estate dealings in the healthcare and life sciences industries requires the guidance of an experienced specialist, a bill that is well fit by Barnett’s experience.
