Avison Young Names President for Canada Division

Mark Fieder, a three-decade company veteran, will report to Chair & CEO Mark Rose. Two principals, Joe Almeida and Ted Davis, were also appointed to new roles.

Avison Young has promoted Mark Fieder to president of its Canada division. In the new executive role, he will supervise a diverse portfolio of real estate services, offer support in large deals negotiation, achieve revenue growth and continuity objectives as well as meet the overall development plans of the firm. Fieder will report to Chair & CEO Mark Rose and work with the board of directors, managing directors and practice leaders across the country.

As a founding member of Avison Young, Fieder has 30 years with the firm and will continue to serve as part of the company’s global executive committee. Prior to the promotion, he was COO of Canadian Operations since 2015. Before that position, he served as managing director of the company’s Ontario offices. Fieder has a Bachelor of Arts in urban development from Western University in Ontario. 

In addition to Fieder’s promotion, Principal Joe Almeida was named managing director of the company’s office in Toronto, while Principal Ted Davis will serve as managing director of the firm’s Toronto West office. Both of them will report to Fieder. Avison Young has also recently added a global director of research, who joined the company from CBRE.
