Value-Added Apartment Portfolio Sold in North Miami Beach

Three apartment communities in the North Miami Beach area changed hands recently, the seller Faith Investment Properties Group, announced. Grand Island Place I, Grand Island Place II, and Aventura Brentwood Apartments include 310 units and were sold for the total of $28 million.

Hunt Provides Fannie Mae Loan to Refinance Manufactured Housing Community

Hunt Mortgage Group, a commercial real estate lender has provided a $4.5 million Fannie Mae loan facility to refinance the Terra Vista Manufactured Housing Community, the company announced. The loan was provided to borrower AFK Real Estate Investments, a Delaware limited liability company backed by Angus Keith. It has a 10-year term with 5-years interest only, amortizing over a 30-year period with a 9.5 year yield maintenance period. Florida-based manufactured housing expert Brian Mills brokered the transaction to Hunt.

Buckhead Exchange Redevelopment to Start Soon

A large-scale redevelopment project will transform the Buckhead Exchange shopping center– FCA Partners has recently announced its plans. The Charlotte, NC-based employee-owned real estate investment management company acquired the 48,500 square foot retail center in 2013 for $15.2 million from Principal Financial.

JV Launches Luxury M-F Project

The Kislak Organization, Courtelis Company and HMG/Courtland Properties broke ground on Murano at Grande Lakes on Tuesday, May 26. The $33.6 million 240-unit luxury apartment home community is being built on a 9.53‑acre metro Orlando site at the southeast quadrant of John Young Parkway’s intersection with Taft‑Vineland Road. Forum Architecture and Interior Design set out the plans and Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. has been hired as the general contractor for the project. Wells Fargo provided the construction financing.

The facility will provide free temporary housing to families of eligible veterans and military service members who are being treated at the Tucson VA or any other medical facility in Tucson.

Crescent Howell Mill Completed and Sold as Part of $700M Portfolio

Crescent Communities has completed construction and closed on the sale of Crescent Howell Mill. The 256-unit luxury apartment community in Atlanta was sold to affiliates of Boston-based Berkshire Group. The project is the only residential component of Howell Mill, an 8-acre mixed-use development featuring shops and boutique restaurants with garden courtyards.

Royal Palm Office Park Finalizes Six Leases Amid Complete Renovations

Royal Palm Office Park has completed six leases recently, totaling more than 55,400 square feet. The transactions include five lease renewals with current occupants and one new contract with a new tenant, financial terms were not disclosed. Blanca Commercial Real Estate represented the landlord, an affiliate of Lincoln Property Company, while brokers with CBRE, JLL and Cresa spoke for four of the lessees in the transactions – the other leases did not involve co-brokers.

Hartsfield–Jackson Area Warehouse Reaches Full Occupancy

Two new tenants have signed leases at the 278,000 square foot industrial building under 2000 Southpoint Drive in Atlanta, Liberty Property Trust announced in a press release issued in early May. UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. and Southwest Surplus, Inc. occupied a total of 80,000 square feet. Liberty Property Trust owns the asset and the company was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle’s team of Vice President Rodney Davidson and Associate Reed Davis in both transactions. The two deals brought the building to 100% occupancy.
