Tennis star Andre Agassi and other leaders from the Turner-Agassi Charter School Facilities Fund joined the opening celebration of the KIPP San Antonio Commerce Campus, the permanent home for two KIPP San Antonio schools and the first investment of the Fund in the city.

Development Site Near Amazon’s Denny Triangle Project Trades Hands in $14M Deal

This week it was reported that a development site in downtown Seattle’s Denny Triangle traded hands for a fee of $14.32 million. The site includes two adjacent parcels listed as 1820 Terry Avenue and 1007 Stewart Street, a total of 20,760 square feet of land in one of the most coveted areas in the city. The site is the current home of an apartment building, an attached commercial building with two tenants and a parking lot. The seller, Williamsburg Court LLC, traded the property at a per square foot rate of approximately $690.

Ryan Cos. Reveals $210 Million Corporate Project in Austin

Minneapolis-based development and construction company, Ryan Cos., unveiled the impressive project it plans to develop on the south shore of Austin’s Lady Bird Lake. The Waterfront corporate development illustrates a 625,000-square-foot office development on 10 acres, west of Pleasant Valley Road.

HFF Secures $7.5 Million for Hillcrest M-F Project

A residential project located in San Diego’s Hillcrest neighborhood recently received a massive boost as developer Hillcrest Veritas, LP received $7.46 million in construction-permanent financing. HFF worked on behalf of the developer to secure the financing, a 71 percent loan-to-cost, 12-year, fixed rate construction-permanent loan through a correspondent life company lender.

Imus Ranch Listed for Sale at $32M

In northern New Mexico there’s a Ranch for Kids With Cancer that’s been listed for sale by its owner, the renowned cranky WABC radio and Fox Business News morning personality, Don Imus. The main reason behind the transaction is Imus’ belief that his family could support more charitable foundations with funds generated by the sale.

Stable Development Adds Summerlin MOB to its Stable

Stable Development recently announced the acquisition of a Class A office building in Las Vegas Valley. The company purchased the Longford Medical building, and it has already completed a large amount of leases for the property, with roughly half of the available space occupied. The new owner is set to line up a number of improvements to the exterior and interior. Change will also come to the property’s name, as Stable Development is renaming the property as The Parkway, in relation to its location, facing the Summerlin Parkway.

888 San Mateo Receives LEED Platinum Certification from the US Green Building Council

A residential community in San Mateo was recently awarded LEED Platinum certification by the United States Green Building Council. 888 San Mateo is a residential community owned and developed by the Sares Regis Group of Northern California. The announcement means that 888 San Mateo is only the sixth residential community in the country with over 150 units to garner the certification.

A new multifamily development celebrated its grand opening in San Marcos. The NRP Group LLC and Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation held the ceremony for Sienna Pointe, a 228-unit development designed to provide top quality living at affordable costs.

National City Tower Acquired by Canadian Investor in $43 Million Deal

National City Tower, a historic adaptive reuse project in downtown Los Angeles, recently traded hands in a deal worth $43.26 million. Canada-based RC Acquisitions LLC acquired the property from seller National City Towers LLC, in a deal arranged on behalf of both parties by Janet Neman and Bryan Glenn of full-service regional real estate firm Charles Dunn Company.

New Retailers Bring Balboa Mesa to 100% Occupancy

The owner of the Balboa Mesa Shopping Center has recently announced that new contracts have been signed at the facility, meaning that the shopping center is now fully leased. The San Diego-area retail property is currently under the ownership of national owner, operator and developer Regency Centers. The company’s local leasing agent, Eric Li, completed a total of 13 leasing agreements during the time that the property was in redevelopment.
