Last month, Hilton Worldwide opened another hotel in downtown Cincinnati. Or, to be more precise, two hotels. The Hampton Inn & Suites Cincinnati-Downtown and the Homewood Suites by Hilton Cincinnati-Downtown are both located in the old Cincinnati Enquirer building. on Vine Street.

Wood Partners, LLC is bringing 230 much-needed apartments to downtown Columbia. The Atlanta-based real estate company said it will break ground this month on a new mixed-use community in the area. Called Alta Wilde Lake, it will be a key component of the redevelopment at Wilde Lake Village Center.

Shintech To Invest $1.4B In Baton Rouge-Area Expansion
Shintech Inc., the North American subsidiary of Japan-based Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd., one of the largest PVC producers in the world, is getting ready to start on its third major expansion in Louisiana since 2008. According to Gov. Bobby Jindal, the company will invest $1.4 billion to supply its Iberville Parish facilities with new ethylene production capacity.

Hilton Worldwide and HRI Lodging, LLC revealed in April their plans to renovate the Hilton Garden Inn Richmond Downtown and to rebrand it into a full-service Hilton Hotels & Resorts property. The cost of the project is $11.5 million.
