Ascensia, Exelon Ink Leases at The Summit

The Summit office campus in Valhalla, N.Y., will be home to a Fortune 100 energy company and a diabetes health management company later this year.

100_Summit_Lake_fixed-2Reckson, the suburban division of SL Green Realty Corp., recently announced that Ascensia Diabetes Care US and Exelon Generation Co. signed leases for space in The Summit, a Class A office campus located in Valhalla, N.Y. The two companies will occupy a combined 81,442 square feet of office space at the three-building, 700,000-square-foot campus on Summit Lake Drive.

Ascensia Diabetes Care US signed an 11-year lease for 65,000 square feet on the top two floors of 100 Summit. The health management company will move into the building in the fourth quarter of 2017, when 80 employees will relocate from the research and development and operations facility located at 777 Old Saw Mill River Road in Tarrytown, N.Y. Steve Rotter and Conor Gill of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Ascensia in the transaction.

500_summitExelon Generation Co., a Fortune 100 energy company, will occupy 16,442 square feet of space on 500 Summit’s first floor. Exelon did not have tenant representation and is expected to move into the new offices in July.

Built in mid-1980s, The Summit is located on 102 acres of land on Summit Lake Drive. The office campus is 93 percent leased and is home to four Fortune 500 companies and several top corporations, such as Verizon New York.

CBRE’s Brian Carcaterra and Jacqueline Novotny acted on behalf of SL Green in both deals, while Reckson was represented in-house.
