Amstar to Bring Skyview Distribution Center to Life
A Denver-based investor and its development partner announced the groundbreaking of Skyview Distribution Center the I-20 West submarket of Atlanta.
Denver-based Real Estate Investment Manager Amstar teamed up with Huntington Industrial Partners, an industrial real estate operating company, to build Skyview Distribution Center, a 225,000-square-foot state-of-the-art light industrial building in the I-20 West submarket of Atlanta. The partnership broke ground on the project in late September.
The development will feature a front-loading configuration, 32′ clear height, a trailer parking area and an ESFR (Early Suppression, Fast Response) ceiling mounted fire sprinkler system. The building site is located less than a mile from I-20, four miles from the Norfolk Southern intermodal yard and 16 miles from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The partnership acquired the land in December 2014.
Skyview is the joint venture’s second speculative development in Atlanta. Construction is nearing completion on Fairburn 85, a 317,000-square-foot cross-dock distribution building in the I-85 South area. The construction of Skyview Distribution Center is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2016.
