Albuquerque Landmark Hits the Market

The eight-story Alvarado Square office building in the city’s central business district is up for auction at FRE.com.

Albuquerque, N.M.—One of New Mexico’s iconic buildings is up for grabs, commercial auction website FRE.com recently announced.

The eight-story, 251,000-square-foot Alvarado Square office building located in downtown Albuquerque is now on sale, with bids starting at little under $3 million. The deadline for bids is Sept. 15. According to Bernalillo County records, the Class A asset is owned by Minneapolis-based Albuquerque Plaza Associates.

Situated at 415 Silver Ave. in the city’s central business district, the property lies within a 10-minute walk from the Albuquerque Convention Center. Marketed by Colliers International, the building was completed in 1980 for the Public Service Co. of New Mexico. Alvarado Square offers floor plates ranging between 25,300 and 35,000 square feet, as well as a 21,000-square-foot executive suite on the top floor.

On-site amenities include a boutique coffee bar situated in the main lobby, lounge areas, meeting and conference rooms, a full-service café and six passenger elevators.
