Industrious Signs Atlanta-Area Lease

The coworking company's new location will open next year.

Flex office provider Industrious has signed a long-term, 22,000-square-foot lease at Southern Post, a mixed-use property in Roswell, Ga., within the Atlanta metro area. The landlord is AH Realty Trust, formerly known as Armada Hoffler Properties.

Industrious will occupy roughly one and a half floors at the office component of the property, which is now roughly 83.5 percent leased.

The coworking provider’s upcoming space will include 189 dedicated office seats and 52 additional access seats. The location is set to open in early 2027.

Completed in 2024, Southern Post is a 260,000-square-foot complex just off U.S. Highway 9. Apart from office space, it also includes 128 apartments, nine townhomes, 40,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and a mix of walkable amenities across 4 more than acres.

Its office component, totaling some 95,000 square feet, is split between two interconnected buildings at 1025 and 1035 Alpharetta St. They feature 15,000-square-foot floorplates, floor-to-ceiling windows and a parking ratio of 3 spaces per 1,000 square feet.

Southern Post is within the historic district of Roswell’s downtown area. Downtown Atlanta is 24 miles away.

Coworking sector’s growth spurt

The U.S. coworking sector has seen constant growth during the first quarter of 2026, according to CoworkingCafe’s national report. The flex office market reached 9,136 active locations at the end of March, up 3.2 percent quarter-over-quarter. The expansion was led by a mix of gateway cities and Sun Belt metros, Atlanta being one of them.

Atlanta’s coworking sector had 298 locations totaling 5.8 million square feet as of March, the report shows. This marks a 6 percent increase from the previous quarter, when the metro had 5.5 million square feet across 282 locations.

Industrious on the move

Industrious operates more than 250 locations spread across 80 cities globally. The Southern Post lease brought the flex office provider’s Atlanta footprint to nine locations.

The firm’s recent activity also includes its expansion at Tower 49 in Midtown Manhattan. The company will occupy 291,600 square feet across 18 stories, achieving the largest single flex office space in the world.
