CENTRL Office Inks 34 KSF in San Francisco

The coworking provider is slated to move in early next year.

Portland-based coworking provider CENTRL Office has signed a 34,000-square-foot lease at Jamestown’s Waterfront Plaza, a two-building office campus in San Francisco. Move-in at the property is slated for January 2026.

Amenities at CENTRL Office’s new space will include bike storage, private showers, parking, shuttle services, as well as nearby dining options and easy access to BART stations.

Jamestown acquired Waterfront Plaza from LaSalle Investment Management in 2014, in a $88 million portfolio transaction, Yardi Matrix data shows. Located in San Francisco’s North Waterfront neighborhood, the campus is within half-a-mile from Coit Tower and 2 miles north of downtown.

Completed in 1976, the pair of LEED Gold-certified properties rise four-stories each at 50 Francisco St., and1700 Montgomery St., respectively. CENTRL Office will occupy space at the building on Francisco Street, according to the same data provider. The tenant will join Prudential Financial Advisors, Walker, Hamilton & Kearns, MediaMelon Inc. and Remi in the roster. The building on Montgomery Street houses the offices of Industrious, Jamestown and Glodow Nead Communications.

CENTRL Office began its activity in 2014. Currently, the company has four coworking locations in Portland, Ore., four in Los Angeles, one in Sacramento, Calif. and one in Seattle, Wash.

As of August, the national office vacancy rate fell to 18.7 percent, down 80 basis points year-over-year, according to the latest Yardi Matrix office report. During the same month, the average full-service equivalent listing rates across the U.S. was $32.63 per square foot, reflecting a 9-cent drop from July, but up 0.4 percent compared to August 2024.
