Stanley Black & Decker Expands TX Footprint
The manufacturer of industrial tools and household hardware is taking space at a new 1.2 million-square-foot regional distribution center at Alliance Northport in Northlake.

Stanley Black & Decker will expand operations by moving into Alliance Northport 3, a 1.2 million-square-foot regional distribution center developed by Hillwood in Northlake, Texas, this coming March.
A world leader in engineered fastening and security, the company will utilize the distribution center to services the company’s central and southern states with both power tools and hand tools, creating more than 300 jobs in the process.
The property is situated at the intersection of Interstate 35W and State Highway 114. Alliance Northport 3 is part of the larger Alliance Northport, a 260-acre development inside the AllianceTexas master plan, which offers one of the lowest tax structures in the region.
In late 2017, Stanley Black & Decker opened a new manufacturing facility in Mission, Texas, signing a lease on a nearly 300,000-square-foot building where DEWALT power tool products will be made.
A strong industrial presence
The Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington economy finished 2018 strong, as both population and employment numbers grew. According to Moody’s Analytics, the area’s population grew by 141,000 year-over-year, and the employment base in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area was upped by 97,000.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Dallas/Fort Worth industrial fourth-quarter 2018 market report revealed industrial vacancy increased to 7.1 percent last year, an increase from the 6.5 percent in 2017. For the year, the industrial market saw 26.9 million square feet of new product built and brought online.
