Paramount Group Inc. has signed a lease with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP for three floors at 31 W. 52nd St., in Midtown Manhattan. The international law firm will occupy 88,503 square feet in the trophy office tower, on floors 26 through 29, for a period of 12 years, relocating from its current offices at 1540 Broadway.
The premier 29-story asset, which changed hands two years ago, comprises 786,647 square feet and is LEED Gold certified. Amenities include 24-hour security, upgraded building systems, floor-to-ceiling windows, storage space, a landscaped public plaza, as well as a 120-space parking garage. Five subway lines are located within three blocks of the property, while multiple accommodation options, museums and upscale retail stores and restaurants surround the building.
The new lease brought the building’s occupancy level from 81.5 percent to 93.1 percent. The tenant roster includes TD Bank, Stone Harbor Investment Partners, Clifford Chance, Morgan Stanley and Centerview Partners.
“Within the past week, we have signed two significant leases totaling approximately 225,000 square feet, leasing up the majority of the available space in our New York portfolio, which now sits at 95.7 percent leased,” Paramount Executive Vice President of Leasing Peter Brindley said in a prepared statement.
