A joint venture between Kiddar Capital and Insight Property Group plans to develop Broad and Washington, a Class A project in Falls Church, Va. The property will house Kiddar’s new global headquarters and will be situated at 100 N. Washington St., on the same parcel where the company is currently located.
Upon completion, the development will include 74,000 square feet of office space, 295 residential units and 25,000 square feet of retail. The LEED Silver-certified project will be the city’s first premier building and will feature local concept restaurants, a community engagement plaza and a rooftop terrace for community events. It will also house the Creative Cauldron theater group.
Major community impact
The asset will integrate all aspects of the local community, resulting in new jobs and economic growth, as well as generating a net fiscal impact of $35.7 million for the city. Additionally, it will be located in the vicinity of the East Falls Church Metro station, Falls Church Medical Center, eateries and retailers.
“Our approved plans call for an architecturally significant headquarters building that will be operationally flexible, including a lightweight and interactive environment that is uniquely responsive to our team, the community and will immediately present an engaging atmosphere for Falls Church residents,” Kiddar Capital CEO Todd Hitt, said in a prepared statement.
