New York Capview Partners has chosen Andrew Calderwood to lead business development as managing director. The Dallas-based firm, which manages real estate investments and funds, focuses entirely on single-tenant, net lease retail assets.

“We are so glad to have Andrew join our team,” said Chairman Ken Shulman in a prepared statement. “His strong background with real estate investments makes him a perfect match for our growing business.”

Most recently Calderwood led the U.S. real estate division for Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets. At Perennial Real Estate Investments, Calderwood was responsible for developing assets totaling $3.5 billion. His successful track record earned him the role of CEO at Perennial, where he was also a founding partner. Previously he served as senior portfolio manager at Colonial First State, the largest asset manager in his native Australia. Calderwood opened the firm’s New York office, where he managed portfolios for U.S. REITs.

“Andrew brings a tremendous amount of global investment experience to the table,” said President John Hammill. “We are lucky to have an industry veteran like him on board.”

Calderwood received his undergraduate economics degree from University of Sydney and his MBA from Northwestern University. He is a certified financial analyst and chartered accountant.
