Baltimore –D.A. Davidson & Co., a full-service investment banking firm with nationwide operations, has selected Peter Suazo as the new managing director of the real estate investment banking division.
The real estate division, which managing director Keith Getter opened in 2014, is based in Baltimore.
“I’m pleased to be part of the high-caliber team and growing investment banking group at D.A. Davidson,” said Suazo in a prepared statement. “It’s an ideal time to establish a stronger real estate platform in order to take advantage of market opportunities. I look forward to working alongside Keith as we continue to build a successful real estate group.”
Suazo has centered his investment banking career on helping real estate companies explore mergers and acquisitions, portfolio dispositions, asset sales and debt and equity financing structures. He has held numerous senior management roles with notable players in investment banking, including BB&T Capital Markets and Lehman Brothers and Stifel. Suazo leaves his role as principal with FIDES Capital Partners to join D.A. Davidson.
“As an established banker, he has been involved in raising roughly $41 billion of capital for public REITs and private real estate companies. His client-focused approach, combined with his experience and reputation, make him an ideal fit as we continue to grow our real estate banking practice,” said Rory McKinney, head of investment banking at D.A.
