CBRE Appoints Austin Valuation Expert to Capital Markets Team
After 19 years with CBRE, David Thibodeaux moves from consulting and valuation to investment sales.
Austin, Texas—CBRE has tapped David Thibodeaux to join CBRE Capital Markets as First Vice President. In this role, Thibodeaux will facilitate investment property acquisitions and dispositions for private investors.
“As more and more clients look to David for his advisory expertise, it’s the right time to bring him over to the Capital Markets side to better serve our clients. His depth of experience and consultative nature will enhance our capabilities in Central Texas,” said Scott Senese, Senior Managing Director of CBRE’s Central Texas region, in a prepared statement.
Thibodeaux’s experience at CBRE spans 19 years. In 2000 he launched the firm’s Valuation & Advisory Services (VAS) team in Central Texas. As a managing director for the VAS practice, Thibodeaux lent his appraisal, review and consulting prowess to a wide range of development projects across Central and West Texas. Before 2000, as director of CBRE’s Financial Consulting Group, Thibodeaux advised brokers, financial institutions and corporate clients in negotiating lease and sale transactions and determining pricing of private and institutional-grade commercial assets.
In Austin, Thibodeaux will focus on the sale of office, industrial and retail assets, teaming up with Logan Reichle, Associate at CBRE Capital Markets.
“My role at CBRE has evolved into a consultant and advisory capacity, and this is the natural next step. Moving into investment sales allows me more flexibility to better serve our clients and help them make good financial decisions,” said Thibodeaux.
His additional credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Lamar University and a Member of Appraisal Institute designation.
