Ross Stores Opens 31 New U.S. Locations
The move is part of the company's plan to open 90 stores in the U.S. by the end of the year.

Dublin, Calif.—Ross Stores has announced the opening of 24 new Ross Dress for Less and 7 dd’s DISCOUNTS stores across 15 states this summer. The new locations are part of the company’s 2016 expansion plan to add roughly 90 new Ross Dress for Less and dd’s DISCOUNTS stores by the end of the year.
“These recent openings reflect our ongoing strategy to expand our store base across both new and existing markets,” Jim Fassio, president & chief development officer for Ross Stores, said in a prepared statement. “The 31 new locations include the addition of ten stores in our newer Midwest market, with four of those locations in our newest state of Wisconsin. Over the longer term, we continue to see expansion opportunities across all of our markets, and remain confident in our ability to grow to 2,000 Ross Dress for Less and 500 dd’s DISCOUNTS locations over time.”
A Fortune 500 company based in Dublin, Calif., Ross Stores Inc. operates the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the U.S., with 1,317 Ross Dress for Less locations in 34 states, Guam and the District of Columbia. The company also operates 185 dd’s DISCOUNTS locations in 15 states.
