Hendrick Motorsports Campus Makes Room for Axalta’s Customer Experience Center

Leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings Axalta Coating Systems announced plans to construct a Customer Experience Center in North Carolina. The facility will be dedicated to customer training resources and offering meeting and conference rooms for customers to participate in coatings-related training and development programs.

Located on the Hendrick Motorsports campus in Concord, the Customer Experience Center will reach 45,000 square feet. Axalta Coating Systems has been a sponsor of Hendrick Motorsports’ racing program for 23 years.

To kick off construction on the new Customer Experience Center, CEO Charlie Shaver, Owner of Hendrick Motorsports Rick Hendrick, Vice President Nigel Budden and Four-Time NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Jeff Gordon, gathered in a groundbreaking ceremony.

“Our goal is to provide a service to our customers to help them realize improved shop productivity, efficiency and quality,” said CEO Charlie Shaver, in prepared remarks. “We offer a hands-on, process-oriented approach. Our instructors, designers, and staff are committed to continuing the education and the development of our partner organizations.”
