Yardi — the global leader in real estate software for companies of all types and sizes — announced the acquisition of San Francisco-based CloudVO, a company specializing in virtual offices and other workplace services.

The Yardi family of real estate sites includes CommercialCafe, CommercialSearch and PropertyShark, all of which offer commercial real estate listing services, as well as coworking listings. Also in the network, CoworkingCafe specializes in promoting coworking spaces. However, because all of the network’s sites share the same database, operators can publish their listings simultaneously on the entire network, thereby gaining access to its 20,000 total leads generated per month among its commercial property owners and coworking operators.

CloudVO resells virtual offices, meeting rooms, and other office services — such as local phone numbers and answering services — on a subscription or pay-per-use basis. As of June 1, CloudVO ceased taking new orders and customers were redirected to CoworkingCafe. Notably, CloudAnswering (CloudVO’s phone answering service) was not part of the purchase and will instead continue as a member of the Pacific Workplaces family of companies.

“We have closely followed CloudVO’s progress for many years now, and it seemed that the time was right to incorporate their assets and intimate knowledge of coworking operators into Yardi,” said Rob Teel, Yardi president of commercial. “We are looking forward to continuing this journey with Laurent and his team.”

Laurent Dhollande, CEO of CloudVO, commented: “We are thrilled that CloudVO is now part of Yardi. Our partners will benefit from the Yardi listing service with infinitely more reach and strength than CloudVO could provide on its own, with seven online listing sites that combine over 3 million visitors monthly. Our customers will be exposed to a larger inventory and better choices for their online bookings and purchases of workplace services, including meeting rooms, private offices and virtual offices.”
