California Submarkets Take 27 of 50 Top Spots in Office Rents Ranking
Southern U.S. submarkets accounted for 10 entries in the top 50. In this region, the priciest position was occupied by Miami office space in the Brickell submarket, where asking rents in Q4 2021 averaged $68.52 per square foot. Three other Florida submarkets also ranked among the most expensive in the country at the close of 2021.

Top-dollar submarkets in Q4 2020 also included entries from Washington, D.C.; Texas; and Florida. The priciest office space in Florida in Q4 2020 was in Brickell. This fast-growing Miami submarket rounded out the top 50 with average asking rents resting at $58 per square foot in last year’s final quarter.

According to statements released by GCO, leasing the space for $92 per square foot marked a record high for the region. This new lease adds to the 1,223 square feet that the investment firm was already leasing on the fourth floor.

Mindspace Signs 32KSF Downtown Miami Lease
Global flex and coworking office provider Mindspace recently signed a 10-year lease for a 31,192-square-foot office in downtown Miami owned by real estate investment firm RFR. The office spans three full floors of the Class A office location at 100 Biscayne.
