This project is being sold to Pulte, a national homebuilder. Hutto Mayor Mike Snyder: “This project is located at the SEC of Limmer Loop and TX130. Last fall, the Hutto staff brought a "deal" to the City Council for this development to be a MUD, OUTSIDE of Hutto City limits. The ask was that the City Council approve the deal and fund a $20.0M+ wastewater line to help the MUD get sewer service and not be a package plant. I spent the last half of December and early part of January working with city PID consultants, the developer and some landowners to make sure that this deal was revised. Revised so that they would ANNEX into Hutto and follow Hutto codes. I want to thank the developer for listening to the concerns that I shared with them and for sharing with me their frustrations with their previous dealings with the City of Hutto. This is one of those deals where we have 2 options. #1, the developer builds in the ETJ and we have no control, and have to deal with a package plant or #2, collaborate and work with all of the related parties on a deal that is beneficial to everyone. Now, we have a development coming that will pay city taxes, help fund the city wastewater line and have city control. This is a win/win for everyone. And, the City Council recently voted to add frontage roads along TX130 to our 5yr CIP plan. We are starting to work on infrastructure BEFORE the growth. The way things should be done.” - April 2025
