Portage Des Sioux is a city in St. Charles County, Missouri, United States. The town sits on the Mississippi River roughly opposite Elsah, Illinois, and is the home of the riverside shrine of Our Lady of the Rivers. Portage, as the locals call it, is a farm community with 355 residents per the 2020 census, with approximately 300 additional people among the surrounding farmlands. The river access adds to the relaxed recreational atmosphere of this pleasant small river town.Previously this location was the convenience store in the area, with a deli case and large beer cave. Much of this equipment is still on sight and stored in the detached garage building. However, 3000 S.F of the original convenience store was renovated into a body shop/garage that includes a lift and ventilated Paint Booth. That leaves 1000 S. F. that could be used for retail/convenience/beer sales. The beer cave cooler is still in there. In addition to the main 4000 S. F. building, there is a 1320 S.F. detached garage with electric and a fenced storage area.
