Tamarac Village is a 25-acre mixed-use project, located in the heart of Broward County. The first development phases are now complete with a newly constructed 21-acre gated apartment complex with 401 luxury residential units and clubhouse; as well as a newly constructed .75-acre public park with public art installations, a large splash pad, and a new amphitheatre that will be programmed by the City for community events and is directly adjacent to the commercial parcels. The final 3.47-acre Tamarac Village-Commercial phase for restaurant and retail development is currently site plan approved for 44,090 gross square feet of commercial restaurant/retail development with outdoor dining and 255 parking spaces. The City’s vision for the commercial development includes at least one sit-down full-service nationally recognized chain restaurant/upscale food hall and/or brew pub, along with a blend of complimentary food/beverage uses which can include an ice cream shop, coffee shop and/or bakery, etc. Structured parking would be a welcomed addition to the project. The City is amenable to working with the selected developer on proposed site plan changes. Further, the City is pleased to offer a significant development benefit with already approved entitlements for the off-site stormwater/drainage requirement for the developer to construct.
