The building supports ample use of exhaust hood systems with fire arrester controls and a large attic equipment area with above average insulation and mechanical equipment storage space. The roof is flat in design with a built-up gravel cover and the exterior building finish is painted concrete block. This structure is equipped with an emergency back-up generator and has a water chilled exchange system for heating and cooling.

The current configuration boasts nine labs, a stock room, fabrication area, storage, and a shipping and receiving room with exterior access to a paved roadway for ease of deliveries as well as outgoing shipments. Labs have interior windows into the corridors to increase light, allow for visual contact between employees, and creates a more pleasant work environment.
