Commercial real estate advisor Newmark Group, Inc. (“Newmark”) recently announced it arranged financing for the acquisition of Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC) on behalf of the buyer, Related Ross.

Real estate developer and operator Related Ross was represented by a team comprising Co-President of Global Debt & Structured Finance Jordan Roeschlaub, Vice Chairman Nick Scribani, and Managing Director John Caraviello, in collaboration with Executive Vice Chairman Josh King.

Located at 5000 T-Rex Avenue, the Boca Raton Innovation Campus incorporates more than 1.7 million square feet of Boca Raton office space across two office buildings. Originally developed by IBM to serve as its North American research and development campus, this property was the birthplace of the company’s first personal computer and remains one of the largest employment centers in Boca Raton.

The campus currently offers a generous variety of amenities, including: two cafés; an 800-seat presentation hall; and multiple event spaces. Direct shuttle service to the Boca Raton Tri-Rail station is also available. Moreover, the BRiC campus is situated near Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton Airport, and two Interstate 95 interchanges.

According to statements of the acquisition financing being secured, Related Ross plans to continue operating BRiC as an office and technology campus. At the same time, the new owner plans to advance a long-term vision for the property that enhances on-site features with a curated mix of amenities, retail, and restaurants.

The acquisition expands the company’s presence across Palm Beach County and marks its entry into Boca Raton.
