Seattle-based fashion retailer Nordstrom, Inc. recently announced plans to open a new retail space in McAllen, Texas, in the latter part of 2026.

Located at Las Tiendas Shopping Center, the new store reportedly spans 31,000 square feet and is ideally located off of Interstate 2 and South McColl Road.

This new location will expand the physical footprint of the company, as well as its economic influence in Texas, where it currently operates eight Nordstrom stores and 27 Nordstrom Rack stores, generating 3,600 jobs statewide.

Las Tiendas Shopping Center incorporates nearly 288,000 square feet of retail space across four one-story buildings. The property has major street exposure on East Expressway 83; includes a 1,175-space, grade-level parking lot; and is managed by commercial real estate investment and management company MIMCO, LLC.

The largest source of new customers to Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of the company, offering customers up to 70% off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty products, home décor, and shoes from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom stores.
