Canopy Signs Lease for Office Space in San Francisco Landmark
The Presidio Trust recently announced signing a new tenant to one of the landmark buildings in the Presidio national park.
Spanning 1,500 acres within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, near San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, the Presidio is one of the most biologically diverse and most visited national park sites in the U.S.
Building 102 on the Main Post — one of the several Presidio facilities to have been repurposed as museums, restaurants, hotels, homes, and offices — is slated to be occupied by CANOPY, a boutique co-working and flexible office provider that has recently signed a lease for the full building.
Building 102 was the last historic brick structure on the Presidio Main Post to be restored and activated, and this deal reportedly marks one of the largest leases signed in the Presidio this year.
In preparation for the new tenant, a custom buildout will be completed across approximately 40,000 square feet of San Francisco office space spanning three floors and a basement. Aiming to create a state-of-the-art experience for CANOPY clients, the space is adapted to provide office space for individual workers, as well as small groups.
CANOPY Presidio is slated to open in spring 2027.
“We’re very pleased to welcome CANOPY to the Presidio,” said Daryl Ansel, interim director of commercial asset management at Presidio Trust. “Creating places where people can work, connect, and engage with the park strengthens the Presidio’s vitality and supports a dynamic tenant community.”
“CANOPY Presidio will represent our most idyllic location and design,” says Yves Behar of fuseproject. “We are custom designing every element of the interior and furniture to mirror the historical beauty of the building and the surrounding landscape. Our aim is to provide our members a state-of-the-art experience to do work, as well as to receive visitors. If comfort, inspiration, and status are important to your business, CANOPY Presidio is the place to be.”
