His successor will be Adam Hines, the firm\u2019s current chief of staff to the CEO\u2019s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laura Hines-Pierce, the company\u2019s other co-CEO and sister of Adam Hines, will remain in her role, which she has held since 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement comes as part of a broader leadership transition at the Houston-based developer and investor. David Steinbach will serve as the company\u2019s president, and Alfonso Munk was named global chief Investment officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Laura Hines-Pierce will replace Jeffrey Hines as CEO &amp; board chair of Hines Global Investment Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As chairman, Jeffrey Hines will step back from his current day-to-day duties and advise the new leadership team. The company is also establishing an independent External Advisory Board to provide the co-CEOs with counsel, though it will not have any governance authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s leadership changes continue the transition to the third generation of the Hines family. Gerald Hines founded the firm in 1957, and his son, Jeffrey Hines, became president in 1990. By 2008, Jeffrey Hines was serving as CEO.
