Technology can make us more efficient and provide better insights, but earning a client\u2019s trust, understanding their priorities and helping them navigate important decisions is what makes this industry rewarding. AI can be excellent at searching records, identifying inconsistencies, drafting documents and automating routine workflows. But earning a client\u2019s trust during a high-stakes transaction and making nuanced underwriting decisions based on incomplete or conflicting information is something that benefits greatly from human expertise and building a relationship. I have found it beneficial from the business development side of the fence that my clients know our decision-makers so they can always pick up the phone and have someone to talk through certain things that have come up on a property\u2019s title. \u2014Michael Stump, Vice President of National Commercial Business Development, Proper Title<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
