The transaction was valued at approximately $47.1 million, according to Broward County records. MHF Las Olas VI LLC, an affiliate of Magna Hospitality Group, sold the asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 12-story, 141-key hotel opened in 2021 as Fort Lauderdale&#8217;s first Curio Collection by Hilton property. Guestrooms and suites have water views, with most featuring balconies. Amenities include a pool deck, a fitness center and a yoga studio. Construction on the project stalled in 2017 amid financial issues with the original developer. Magna purchased the site in 2018 for $39.1 million, according to Broward County records. The developer subsequently secured a $51.5 million construction loan to continue work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hotel Maren marks Rockpoint and Newbond&#8217;s second hotel acquisition together in the past 12 months. In September 2025, the partnership purchased another Florida property, Westin Tampa Waterside, a 309-key hotel on Tampa\u2019s Harbour Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located at 525 South Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, Hotel Maren is two miles south of The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is approximately six miles away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fort-lauderdale-hotel-investment-activity\">Fort Lauderdale hotel investment activity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hotel Maren\u2019s acquisition follows Blackstone\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/blackstone-secures-115m-loan-on-fort-lauderdale-hotel\/\">$115 million refinancing<\/a> for W Fort Lauderdale in June. The firm acquired the 346-key oceanfront hotel in 2024 for $97.7 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May, The Artifact Group and Rok Acquisitions purchased <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/sheraton-suites-hotel-trades-near-fort-lauderdale\/\">Sheraton Suites<\/a> Fort Lauderdale West in Plantation, Fla., west of Fort Lauderdale. The new owners plan to invest $10 million in the 265-room hotel to update rooms and corridors.
