The resulting platform will also pursue other opportunities across the developer&#8217;s broader portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partnership combines PowerBridge\u2019s pad-ready powered campuses and regional fiber conduit network with Liberty\u2019s management and grid-optimizing solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alpha Digital Campus will come online in multiple phases, with the first slated to roll out toward the end of 2027, including more than 300 megawatts. The site is proximate to the Waha natural gas hub and this energy source is expected to power the property, according to ERCOT filings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located along Interstate 20, Pecos serves as the seat of Reeves County and its largest city. Just last month, Chevron inked a 20-year power purchase agreement with Microsoft to power a nearly 2.7 gigawatt development also in Pecos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At launch, Microsoft\u2019s campus will also operate with a co-located gas power facility, operating independently of the public grid. However, the tech giant expects to connect the facilities to the broader regional energy system over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>West Texas is poised to become an epicenter for AI infrastructure. The region&#8217;s momentum draws from its inexpensive land and the ability of developers to bypass public electricity grids through the usage of dedicated natural gas-fired power generation, complemented by solar and battery storage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The area is home to Pacifico Energy&#8217;s GW Ranch, the biggest permitted data center campus in the U.S., with a capacity of nearly 7.7 gigawatts. Meta also has a presence there, near El Paso, Texas, where the firm is developing a 1-gigawatt AI facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-capitalizing-on-the-data-center-energy-bottleneck\">Capitalizing on the data center energy bottleneck<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Data centers are on track to consume one-fifth of all U.S. power by 2035, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-07-21\/data-centers-on-track-to-suck-up-a-fifth-of-us-power-use-by-2035\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">according to <em>Bloomberg<\/em><\/a>. New developments continue facing an energy bottleneck, with access to grid power being the single largest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/data-center-industry-trends\/\">constraint on new projects<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liberty Energy has been capitalizing on this growing demand through various partnerships. Earlier this month, the company teamed up with modular data center company SLB, providing power generation solutions.
