The deal marks Bridgepoint\u2019s entry into the U.S. real estate market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the agreement, Bridgepoint will pay $759 million in cash and about 189 million new shares. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The acquisition comes a month after Kayne Anderson closed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/kayne-anderson-closes-5-1b-opportunistic-fund\/\">its largest equity fund<\/a> with $5.1 billion in capital commitments, considerably above its $3 billion target. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kayne Anderson manages approximately $22 billion in assets across the firm\u2019s specialty including medical office, senior housing, light industrial and student housing across the country. Earlier this year, the company and joint venture partner BKM Capital Partners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/kayne-anderson-jv-acquires-6-property-industrial-portfolio\/\">acquired a six-property light industrial portfolio<\/a> in Atlanta for $69.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the acquisition is complete, the combined platform will manage approximately $117 billion of assets across private equity, credit, infrastructure, real estate and secondaries. Kayne Anderson CEO &amp; Co-Founder Al Rabil will continue to lead the business along with company&#8217;s current management and investment team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the latest acquisition activity to hit the market following several similar deals such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/savills-to-acquire-eastdil-secured-for-1-2b\/\">Savills acquiring Eastdil Secured<\/a> in March and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/kennedy-wilson-to-go-private-following-1-7b-sale\/\">Kennedy Wilson taken private<\/a> in a $1.7 billion deal in February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This a developing story.
