JPMorgan Chase provided the loan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news came on the heels of another Blackstone hospitality play. Earlier this week, the company went under contract <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/blackstone-to-pay-279m-for-san-francisco-hyatt-hotel\/\">to pay $279 million<\/a> for the 821-key Hyatt Regency San Francisco. The deal is expected to close by August 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-2009-built-hotel\">A 2009-built hotel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Blackstone acquired W Fort Lauderdale in 2024 for $97.7 million from Related Cos., according to Broward County public records. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., on roughly 4 acres located along the oceanfront strip. The area provides access to multiple beaches, entertainment options, dining spots and water activities. Downtown Fort Lauderdale is 3 miles away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amenities at the 567,524-square-foot\u00a0property include a wet deck spread across five floors with two outdoor swimming pools, beach access, a fitness center, a spa center, a lounge and several restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-tourism-growth-sustains-fort-lauderdale-s-hotels\">Tourism growth sustains Fort Lauderdale&#8217;s hotels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fort Lauderdale\u2019s hospitality sector continued to post strong fundamentals in early 2026, building on the previous year\u2019s good performance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitlauderdale.com\/media\/press-releases-and-resources\/post\/tourism-fuels-broward-countys-economy-with-strong-start-to-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">according to Visit Lauderdale<\/a>. Hotel occupancy reached 85 percent in March, marking a 6 percent jump year-over-year. Demand also increased 9 percent year-over-year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A recent hotel investment in the metro is The Artifact Group\u2019s acquisition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/sheraton-suites-hotel-trades-near-fort-lauderdale\/\">Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale West<\/a>.
