The airport campus is also home to Honda Aircraft, Haeco Americas and Cessna, among others, and includes a FedEx hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JetZero&#8217;s factory will produce the Z4 aircraft. The digitally driven facility is expected to feature advanced modeling automation and AI technologies. The firm is working with Deloitte and Siemens to develop a digital twin of the upcoming plant, enabling engineers to test workflows, equipment layouts and production processes before construction reaches completion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>READ ALSO<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/how-ai-powered-tech-is-reshaping-industrial-real-estate\/\">AI Tech in Industrial Real Estate<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>JetZero executives expect the North Carolina production factory to become a future benchmark for aerospace manufacturing. The first full-scale prototype produced there is scheduled for first flight in 2027 and the company expects to deliver the first commercial aircraft at the facility in the early 2030s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will generate some 14,500 new jobs, marking the largest job creation announcement in North Carolina\u2019s history. Employees will benefit from a customized workforce training program created by the state&#8217;s community college system led by Guilford Technical Community College. Valued at more than $22 million, the program will help prepare workers for positions with average annual wages exceeding $89,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-piedmont-triad-s-industrial-scene\">Piedmont Triad&#8217;s industrial scene<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>JetZero first announced plans for the new factory in June 2025. At the time, the company also unveiled the intention to move its headquarters from Long Beach, Calif., to the new production hub, once it becomes operational. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The firm&#8217;s upcoming facility adds to Piedmont Triad&#8217;s growing momentum, as the area is consolidating as a strong manufacturing, tech and logistics hub. The Greensboro\u2013Winston-Salem industrial market&#8217;s key drivers include a skilled workforce, lower operating costs and growing aerospace cluster, supporting the ongoing development in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greensboro\u2013Winston-Salem\u2019s industrial pipeline currently includes 1.5 million square feet, according to Yardi Matrix data. The largest project underway is the 1 million-square-foot, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/blackstone-funds-ahold-delhaizes-475m-facility\/\">$860 million automated distribution center<\/a> developed for Ahold Delhaize USA.
