The 24-megawatt facility totaling 110,000 square feet is slated to become operational in the fourth quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project partners include Thomas Craig Construction, Encore Concrete Construction, Walker Engineering and HTS. CenterPoint Energy will serve as power supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon delivery, HOU2 will feature cabinet-to-cage colocation, adaptable data halls, over 120-kilowatt per-rack capability and closed-loop, dry-chiller cooling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>READ ALSO<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/builders-of-the-boom-top-10-data-center-developers\/\">Builders of the Boom: Top 10 Data Center Developers<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>TRG Datacenters\u2019 first Houston facility, HOU1, came online in 2018 and has maintained 100 percent uptime since its delivery. The 45,000-square-foot property is at 2626 Spring Cypress Road, 12 miles south from The Woodlands data center cluster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 10-acre campus features redundant power feeds and 16 on-campus carriers. Amenities include conference rooms, a kitchen, a break area and secure parking spots, as well as semi-truck loading docks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tallvine Partners purchased TRG earlier this year. Expansion plans include entering additional Texas markets as well as other metros in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-data-center-development-ramps-up-in-texas\">Data center development ramps up in Texas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/ai-demand-boosts-data-center-reits\/\">AI data center demand<\/a> keeps growing, the industry experiences never-before-seen activity in both construction and investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a few days ago, Texas entered the nation&#8217;s spotlight as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/google-earmarks-40b-for-texas-digital-development\/\">Google announced plans to spend $40 billion<\/a> there for cloud and AI infrastructure, the firm&#8217;s largest capital commitment in any state. Plans include the construction of three new data center campuses, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elsewhere in the Lone Star State, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/vantage-develops-25b-data-center-in-texas\/\">$25 billion data center project<\/a> is currently underway.
