And for branding. But signage goes beyond the building name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take, for instance, the health code rating on restaurant windows. Would you eat at a place with a B rating when you could just as easily find one with an A rating? No, you wouldn\u2019t. (Though a New York City bodega with a C rating is perfectly fine\u2014in my mind that just means the cat is particularly frisky.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-fl-body-text-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/mydigitalpublication.com\/publication\/?i=850161\" style=\"background-color:#1bb1ae\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>READ THE MAGAZINE<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>And then you have LEED or Energy Star signs on office buildings. Unlike a health code rating, not having one of these wouldn\u2019t necessarily stop people from coming to your building. But having one might encourage tenants to sign a lease at your property. That\u2019s because people don\u2019t just expect energy efficiency in their buildings, they demand it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gen Z, in particular, values sustainability, and might even take that as a factor when it comes to choosing their careers. According to Deloitte\u2019s 2025 Gen Z and Millennial Survey, 70 percent of respondents said they consider an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deloitte.com\/global\/en\/issues\/work\/genz-millennial-survey.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">employer\u2019s environmental credentials<\/a> when they research different companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTenants recognize the value of working in buildings that prioritize their well-being,\u201d Marc Deluca of KBS told Mikayla Sciortino for her article \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/power-moves-how-to-increase-office-energy-efficiency\/\">Power Moves: How to Increase Office Energy Efficiency<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More and more people are back in the office either full time or on a hybrid schedule. And with that comes more energy consumption. Because of this, office owners really need to be conscious of the property\u2019s energy usage to keep down costs and to be sustainable. So, go ahead and flaunt your sustainability.
