EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure has purchased an approximately 44-acre lot in Mesa, Ariz., for the expansion of its data center campus. The additional land more than doubles the buildable acreage the company owns in the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At full build-out, the campus will comprise more than 3.1 million square feet and provide more than 450 megawatts of capacity. Last year in January, EdgeCore obtained $1.9 billion in green financing<\/a> for this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mesa campus currently comprises nearly 1.7 million square feet and rises on a 40-acre parcel at 3856 S. Everton Terrace. Its 200,880-square-foot first building, dubbed PH01, came online in 2023. PH02 and PH03, still under construction at the site, total some 1.5 million square feet. The power capacity will amount to 206 megawatts across the three facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affordable power, provided through Salt River Project, is already online at the operational data center and will be available at the other two buildings upon their completion in 2025 and 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to meet LEED Silver standards, the campus includes sustainable features such as air-cooled designs and a closed-loop chilled water system. PH01 achieved Green Globes certification in 2023, while the upcoming PH02 and PH03 are developed to earn ENERGY STAR certifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The data centers have multiple fiber access points, renewable power and back-up generators. Amenities include multiple workspaces, a staging room for shipping and receiving, on-site parking space and a lobby with a waiting area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More EdgeCore projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EdgeCore is a division of Partners Group, which acquired the company in 2022<\/a>. Back then, Partners planned to invest up to $1.2 billion to fund the purchase and build-out of the developer’s existing and upcoming data centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September, EdgeCore secured $1.9 billion in equity<\/a>, with Partners serving as anchor for the funding round. Apart from the Mesa development, the company has projects in Silicon Valley, Reno, Nev., and Culpeper, Va. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latter is taking shape in Culpeper Technology Zone, a 690-acre site designated by the local authorities for data center projects. The campus will total 1.4 million square feet across three facilities and will be capable of supporting up to 432 megawatts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
