As president of the organization, she has clear goals for the year: help the soon-to-be-elected new CEO to settle in, further expand the organization worldwide, and also oversee CREW&#8217;s benchmark study on women\u2019s progress in commercial real estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While discussing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/10-women-shaking-up-cre\/\">women&#8217;s advancement<\/a> in the real estate space, MacMillan referred to how the recent disturbance to DEI programs is impacting companies. The new federal anti-discrimination law has several implications for organizations, though there\u2019s not a lot of clarity around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LISTEN TO:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/crew-up-women-can-gain-a-competitive-advantage-by-using-ai-heres-how\/\">Women Can Gain a Competitive Advantage by Using AI. Here\u2019s How.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat we\u2019re seeing is some organizations changing the language,&#8221; MacMillan said in this podcast. &#8220;You\u2019re not changing the action, you\u2019re just changing the language, so instead of calling it DEI, they\u2019re calling it impact. And that\u2019s fine!
