Arcadia states that this space will be used for its \u201ccurrent client base and to satisfy demand from regional and national food manufacturers, retailers and foodservice providers\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An Arcadia Cold spokesperson was unable to provide any additional information on either of the projects, including their dollar values or exact locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>READ ALSO<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/getting-in-the-heads-of-industrial-tenants\/\">Getting in the Heads of Industrial Tenants<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s website, however, does state that the first facility will be 294,000 square feet and handle 40,000 pallet positions, suggesting that the two buildings will be similar in size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a company statement, the demand for cold storage facilities in the Chicago area is driven by the city&#8217;s strategic position as a major transportation hub and its status as a key player in the food distribution industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Established in April 2021, Arcadia Cold specializes in providing third-party handling, storage, distribution and value-added services to the food industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-heated-expansion\">Heated expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Especially considering the cost and complexity of developing cold storage facilities, Arcadia\u2019s expansion since its founding has been aggressive. The company recently announced plans to build a facility in Charleston, S.C., which is in addition to multiple other projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp; In March of last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/arcadia-cold-storage-preleases-phoenix-area-facility\/\">Arcadia preleased<\/a> a 293,000-square-foot asset in metro Phoenix, then under development by Ti Cold and BentallGreenOak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp; The following month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/arcadia-cold-storage-enters-jacksonville-with-87m-project\/\">Arcadia began construction<\/a> of a 216,297-square-foot facility in Jacksonville, Fla. The 30,254-pallet asset will come online later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp; And in December, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/arcadia-cold-opens-reno-area-facility\/\">opened a 250,000-square-foot facility<\/a> in Sparks, Nev.
