The new firm will engage in development, acquisition, financing and fund management, according to the same source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Infinity Global intends to work in most major U.S. markets, but will start by focusing on New York City, according to <em>Bisnow<\/em>. The firm\u2019s main activity sectors will include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/revitalizing-vacant-offices-through-housing-conversions\/\">office-to-residential conversions<\/a>, as well as under-capitalized properties and creating debt-platforms for renovations and development, <em>Commercial Observer <\/em>reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 2023, Lisa Silverstein, Larry Silverstein\u2019s daughter, replaced Burger as the company\u2019s CEO. His ousting was due to a shift in the company\u2019s strategy, according to the same source. While Burger had focused on new developments and acquisitions, Silverstein Properties intended to shift gears and concentrate on the existing pipeline and portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-marty-burger-s-robust-cre-experience\">Marty Burger&#8217;s Robust CRE Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Burger had worked for Silverstein since 2010 and became CEO in 2012, along Larry Silverstein, until he became sole holder of the role in 2014. Before that, he operated his own real estate firm, <strong>Artisan Real Estate Ventures<\/strong>, having also worked as an executive at <strong>Related Cos. <\/strong>for 9 years, and served as a <strong>Blackstone Group <\/strong>Vice President toward the beginning of his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his tenure at Silverstein, Burger oversaw significant projects such as rebuilding the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/7-world-trade-center-lands-458m-refi\/\">World Trade Center<\/a>, as well as various hospitality and condo developments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Farkas, meanwhile, founded Island Capital Group in 2003 after his previous venture, Insignia Financial Group, merged with CBRE.
