The 55,000-square-foot building will provide health-care services to a community that was left without a medical center since 2017, when Baptist Hospital Orange closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The joint venture <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/nexcore-group-jv-to-build-texas-medical-campus\/\">broke ground on the project<\/a> in January 2022. At that time, it was reported that the Orange Economic Development Corp. will provide the infrastructure, while the county and City of Orange will offer a reduction in property taxes, an agreement to cover a total of 10 years. The land for development was donated by <strong>The Houseman Cos.<\/strong> in 2019. <strong>SmithGroup<\/strong> and <strong>PhiloWilke<\/strong> acted as architects, while <strong>Arch-Con<\/strong> was the general contractor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>READ ALSO:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/medical-office-real-estate-trends-to-watch-in-2024\/\">Medical Office Real Estate Trends to Watch in 2024<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System is occupying 37,000 square feet at the two-story building, which includes an emergency hospital, physician office space and outpatient and diagnostic services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gisela Houseman Medical Campus will provide a variety of medical services, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Four extended-stay rooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency care available 24\/7 with two assessment and 10 exam rooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical office suites for primary and specialty care providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Women\u2019s Center that provides 3D mammography, breast ultrasound and bone density screening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diagnostic imaging that features CT, EKG, diagnostic and vascular ultrasound, digital radiography and MRI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Located at 6901 Medical Center Drive, near the southeast corner of Interstate 10E and State Highway 62, the campus is some 22 miles from Beaumont, Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nexcore-s-texas-projects\">NexCore\u2019s Texas projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NexCore has a widespread presence in Texas, the company&#8217;s footprint including medical centers in several metros. On behalf of Hunt County Regional Hospital, NexusCore <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/nexcore-group-breaks-ground-on-dallas-area-mob\/\">broke ground<\/a> in May 2023 on a 70,000-square-foot facility in Royse City. Delivery is expected in the fall of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/nexcore-opens-texas-mob\/\">Texas Oncology-Amarillo<\/a>, a 50,000-square-foot comprehensive cancer center in Amarillo is also part of NexCore&#8217;s portfolio.
